Toronto – June 16, 2010: In an effort to improve the Jonas user experience, Jonas Software has launched a new online support portal called the “Jonas Client Gateway”. For over a decade, Jonas Construction Software clients visited www.jonassupport.com to log support cases and learn through the knowledge base and frequently asked questions (FAQs). Recently, this new and improved portal relocated to www.jonas-construction.com/support.
For three years, Jonas has been using Salesforce.com in their sales and marketing department for the purpose of tracking leads and prospective clients. The Jonas support team has now begun using the Salesforce.com support application in order to log and track support calls/cases. With this addition, clients are able to logon to simplify interaction with the Jonas support team and make the process more seamless. With the new portal clients can log support cases 24/7 and receive email notifications when development items are complete. In addition to any new features, there are also improved features such as the ability to view your company’s cases, comments and support history, download product updates directly from the portal and the ability to view quote details. Ultimately, Jonas expects to have the ability to download version updates from the portal soon so there so no need to wait for a CD to arrive in the mail.
Sanjiv Kalevar, Integration Manager, headed up this project and has done an excellent job through the lengthy transition process. “There was a lot of customization that had to be done between our previous software program and Salesforce.com but now that it’s all complete, we’re ready to go,” says Sanjiv about the recent portal launch. “I’m excited, the support staff is excited and the clients are reacting positively to the ease of use and the new features they’ve been seeing. It’s going to positively impact the Jonas client user experience.”
Jonas Software is the second company under the Jonas umbrella to adopt the Salesforce.com portal. Vertical Market Software has been using this portal for about a year now and over the coming year, Sanjiv will work on bringing Compusource on board with the new portal.
