Meet the Jonas Sales Team
At Jonas Software, we pride ourselves on being the leading provider of integrated software solutions for contractors in North America. While we do believe that we have the best solution in the market, we feel that the people and services that back our product is what gives us an advantage over our competition. We put client service first! For this reason we manage all aspects of our product and service delivery from our head office. From sales to training to ongoing support and account management you can be assured that you are working with fully trained Jonas personnel. The one downside to our methodology is that we seldom get face to face time with prospective clients until the training begins. With this in mind we have put together this group of brief bios and photos so that you can associate a face to the names of the various people at Jonas that you may speak with during the sales process.
Patrick Arkeveld, President
Patrick joined Jonas in 2003 and subsequently occupied various roles within both the Club and Construction Sales Groups. After a few years in sales Patrick was promoted to further grow our International business as Director of UK Operations. While in the UK Patrick helped expand the Jonas footprint and played a key role in opening up opportunities in the Middle East and Africa. In 2008 Patrick returned to our head office as the Director of Club Operations where he was responsible for both the Support and Professional Services groups. Finally, in 2010, Patrick was appointed President of the Construction division. Patrick holds an MBA from Queens University.
George Arkeveld,
Vice President of Sales
George Arkeveld joined Jonas as the VP Sales for the Construction Division of Jonas Software in 2004 bringing with him more than 30 years of executive sales management experience and a successful track record of building strong and dynamic sales teams. Prior to Jonas George was the VP Sales for Lucent Technologies Canada and his past positions include President of Timeplex Canada and VP Sales for Gandalf Technologies.
Bernie Powers, Vice President Professional Services
Bernie Powers joined the team as a Support Analyst in 1998 and moved into various roles with Jonas including the Training and Quality assurance departments. In 2003, Bernie founded Jonas UK and returned to Canada late in 2005 to re-join the Construction team at Head Office in her current position as the Vice President of Professional Services. Prior to joining Jonas, Bernie worked in the Construction Industry as a Financial Controller in the UK and then joined Multisoft Financial Systems as Head of Training.
Ron Shai, Senior Sales Executive
Ron Shai has been with Jonas for over 10 years. His industry knowledge and extensive background is impressive and he is always willing to speak candidly about what the right software solution for you should be. If it’s Jonas he will tell you, if it’s not – he will tell you. Ron completed his degree in economics from York University. Ron is available 24/7 (he’s not kidding) and welcomes calls whenever is convenient for you.
Morgan Sadler, Sales Associate
Morgan has been with Jonas for 3 years. She completed two degrees from Queen’s University (Kingston, ON) in Life Science and Physical & Health Education. She also has a strong background in Executive Education. Her energy, dedication and desire to work quickly for prospective clients will ensure that your timelines are always met. Morgan will be your first point of contact and looks forward to addressing your questions. She is always available via email and is in the office from 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
Karoline Lapko, Account Manager

Karoline joined Jonas Software in 2007 and is the National Account Manager servicing over 1000 clients in North America. She attained her Bachelor of Commerce degree at Laurentian University back in her hometown of Sudbury, Ontario. Initially she joined the Jonas team as a support representative where she quickly gained valuable experience in the Construction industry. With her advanced knowledge of Jonas combined with her high energy and eagerness to learn, she quickly advanced to become an integral part of the sales team. Karoline is an avid traveller, enjoys outdoor activities and all competitive sports.
Janice Hoang, Business Development Associate

Janice is the newest member to the Jonas sales team working alongside Karoline, Morgan and Ron. Janice has been with the group since 2009 and her previous sales experience has proven to be an asset to her current role. In her spare time Janice enjoy spending time with her children.
