Most Mechanical and HVAC Contractors are made up of two business units: the large-scale job cost division that handles projects of all magnitudes, and the service maintenance side that deals with day-to-day customer care. A majority of software systems normally do a great job of catering to the Job Cost half with modules like project management, change order management, equipment management, document management and accounting; but they fall short on the Service Maintenance side. To combat this, some major Job Cost-centric software companies acquire an existing third party Service Maintenance software and tack it on to the existing package to offer a piecemeal "integrated" solution.

There are times when you wonder if your Company is properly prepared; do I have the right tools in place to protect my business? Do my staff know what to do in case of an emergency? Do I have the protection and security I need? Hopefully your fears will never be tested; but as we saw with global events in this last year, accidents do happen. The key is to be prepared for when they do happen and to be smart enough to know what areas need protecting?
